Frequently Asked Questions

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept PayPal payments. If you wish to pay by money order or bank check, please call (215) 219-3796 or email 443galleryinfo@gmail.com to place your order.

Can I visit your building?

The gallery is open during special exhibitions, or by appointment only.

What are the shipping charges?

If you are within the 48 contiguous United States, shipping and handling are included in the stated price. For any buyers outside this area, including but not limited to Alaska, Hawaii, Europe, and Asia, please contact us before making a purchase.

How long does it take to get my order?

Please allow up to 2 weeks for your order to arrive as we ensure your artwork is carefully packed prior to shipping. The delivery time will vary depending upon your location.

Do I need to sign for the package?

Yes. We know it may be an inconvenience, but due to the value of the artwork and the sizes of the packages, we ship all items out with signature required so the packages will not be left anywhere they could be stolen. If you are not at home during the day to sign for the package, we suggest you have it sent to your place of work or make other suitable arrangements.

Is tax included?

Tax is added to all purchases shipped to Pennsylvania addresses or on items purchased in person at the gallery. The current tax rate for PA is 6% and since the gallery is located in Philadelphia, we are required to also collect the 2% city tax. In other words, all purchases shipped to Pennsylvania addresses must pay 8% tax.

Is insurance optional?

No. Insurance is mandatory on all items that are shipped and is included in the price shown.

If the package is damaged during delivery, a claim must be filed with UPS. IMPORTANT – UPS will require you to keep the damaged artwork AND the packing materials, otherwise they will not process any claims.

For items for which shipping is included or free, we reserve the right to ship at the best cost with USPS. Of course, all items will be carefully and professionally packaged to maximize the safety of the product.

Can items be picked up at the gallery instead of shipped?

Yes. In fact, we encourage you to visit our gallery to view the artwork in person. You can pay for the artwork using your PayPal account, cash, or personal check at the gallery. Shipping and insurance costs are not added to items that are picked up from the gallery, therefore all items that are picked up will discounted from the website price.

When can I come to the gallery to view a piece I’m interested in?

Call ahead (215-219-3796) to schedule a viewing time or contact us via 443galleryinfo@gmail.com.

I’m not close enough to come in to take a look at the original artwork but would like a “closer look” before buying. How can you help me?

For serious purchases of items priced over $800, upon request we will provide high resolution images prior to the actual transaction. Note that a $35 imaging fee will be required prior to providing this high-res image. This fee is required to discourage all but the most serious patrons. It will be refunded upon final purchase of the item.

Are the paintings ready to hang?

Most are framed and ready to hang, but please contact us for the details on any particular item.

Do you handle multiple edition items?

There are certain items where multiple copies are available. This is noted in the description. However, the overwhelming majority of items are unique, one-of-a-kind pieces of artwork.

Do you have a refund policy?

All purchases are considered final if purchased over the internet. If an item arrives damaged, then a claim must be filed with the shipping service provider, as detailed in an item earlier on this page.

Why do you say the colors I see on my computer screen might not be exactly the same as the actual artwork?

There are countless different computer systems, monitors and operating systems. For example, some computers and/or monitors may be brand new or very old. Some people may not have their display set to the best color settings possible. Older monitors generally don’t have as accurate color rendering as newer, more modern monitors. Older operating systems may not support as high a number of colors as newer operating systems.

As you can see, there are a multitude of variations that we cannot control. We have attempted to make sure the colors in our photos are as accurate as possible, but there is no absolute guarantee due to those variations.
